Robbery has emerged as one of the most formidable challenges amid the coronavirus outbreak in southern India's Telangana on July 4. The incident took place in Suryapet.

Visuals feature the cops recovering 40 bikes from the possession of the miscreants after busting their gang. Following this, the officials apprehend the accused men and bring them down to the police station to proceed with their investigation process while the others keep a check on the retrieved motorcycles. In the meantime, the officers disclose the entire matter to the public to keep them aware.

The inter-state gang of bike thieves was busted by the Suryapet police, following which they recovered 40 motorcycles worth Rs. 22 lakh (USD 29,522) from them. The miscreants were involved in a series of thefts in the town of Suryapet, that eventually wreaked havoc on the lives of the victims. The main accused, Prabhakar, confessed that he had incurred some loss in his fast food center, due to which he started committing these crimes, mostly solo, to overcome his financial issues.

The police further examined the CCTV footage near the crime scenes, and after four months of investing their time in this case, they arrested eight members of this gang. The accused were identified as Chall Prabhakar, Bandaru Swamy, Bommagani Upender, Udugu Sitaramulu, Malleboina Satish, Gugilla Venkatesh, Jarupula Chiranjeevi, and Kasthala Naveen, belonging to different villages of the Khammam district.

Besides, it was revealed that among the recovered vehicles, 13 were stolen from Suryapet, four from Kodad, five from Khammam, one each from Hyderabad and Hanamkonda, four from Nandigama, six from Jaggayyapeta, while the details of the rest are yet to be ascertained.
