Two elephants engaged with one another in the middle of a clearing in Sri Lanka's North Central province on July 5. The incident took place in the Kalawewa National Park.

A video features two elephants emerging into the clearing from the adjacent forest cover. The jumbos stand behind one another and use their trunks to nuzzle each other. Later, they go their separate ways. While one of them strolls towards the woods, the other approaches a swamp and stands there.

The elephants, known as Mangala and Weera, often stray away from their corridors and appear in the clearings, giving the onlookers a sight to cherish.
