Interviews:

1) Ethna Ghosh, Local resident and Dilip Kumar Fan (Female, English, 10 sec):

" He was a very big personality. He was one of the biggest legends in this film industry. It is a huge, huge, huge loss for everyone and definitely for the film industry.”

2) Ethna Ghosh, Local resident and Dilip Kumar Fan (Female, English, 21 sec):

" It is really shocking that we got to hear this. He lives very close to where I do. I have been crossing his house almost daily when I take my dog out for a walk. Me and my mom speak a lot about him, so it’s really shocking that something like this happened. Our roads are always empty but today when I walked out it was filled with people and I was wondering what has happened.”

3) Manuel Joseph, Dilip Kumar Fan who came all the way from Mulund (Male, Hindi, 24 sec):

“ I was very sad when Today morning I heard the news that Dilip Kumar has passed away. I told my family that I have to go to pay my last respects to him. They said that it is not safe to go out in Corona times but I insisted and I came here. He is the most welcome known Hero of our times and so I came all the way from my home in Mulund to here in Bandra to have a last glimpse of him. He is my favorite actor.”

4) Manuel Joseph, Dilip Kumar Fan who came all the way from Mulund(male, Hindi, 07 sec):

“In spite of Being such a big star he never had any ego. He was very humble and a simple person eager to meet anyone who wanted to meet him.”

5) Manuel Joseph, Dilip Kumar Fan who came all the way from Mulund(male, Hindi, 13 sec):

“ It is a very big loss. The new breed of actors was learning a lot from his acting skills. They used to emulate him and follow in his footsteps and copy his acting style; he was such a big actor”.

6) Manuel Joseph, Dilip Kumar Fan who came all the way from Mulund(male, Hindi, 11 sec):

" Many of his movies like Mugal -e- Azam, Ganga Jumana, will always be remembered. Even though he has left us; his name will forever be.”

7) Kafeel Ahmed , close acquaintance of Dilip Kumar (male, Hindi, 13 sec):

“No, No, Never Never; such a personality will never be born again. A person with such a persona comes in this world only once in a lifetime, so someone of his league is impossible to be born again.”

8) Kafeel Ahmed , close acquaintance of Dilip Kumar (male, Hindi, 11 sec):

“ Today I am not feeling very good. I knew him for the last 40 years and for the last 9 years we were having food on the same table, I am not feeling good at all.”

“ I have no words to express my grief. I am not even able to speak properly today. I just want to have a last glimpse of him.”

10) Manoj Waghmare, Dilip Kumar fan who came to his house to have a last glimpse (Male, Hindi, 41 sec):

" Today morning at 7.30 am when I turned on my television, I came to know that Dilip Kumar has passed away. I was in great shock and I lamented what has happened. Not only the Indian film industry but even in Hollywood and the whole world will get another great actor like him again. So many people and actors have learned so much from him. They have learned acting by watching him act. Nowadays we see the new actors they get coaching from film institutes and try to learn acting But he had an innate talent and Allah had given him such a talent that he was a natural born actor.”
