Southern Water has been fined a record £90m for dumping billions of litres of raw sewage into the sea.

Footage shows their Queenborough Wastewater Treatment Plant located adjacent to the Swale waterway near the Sheppey Crossing on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent, which is one of the many sites identified by the Environment Agency to have discharged untreated sewage directly into the sea.

The plant located on the Rushenden Marshes is situated close to the Swale waterway.

Footage at the end shows nearby Queenborough Harbour, popular with yachtsman and for water based recreation, filmed on July 9.
