Flood waters overflow Thirparappu waterfalls after torrential rains in South India
South India's Thirparappu waterfalls were overflowing with flood waters on Saturday (10 July) after the south-west Indian monsoon began.
Torrential rains lashed states in that part of India, causing the waterfall to burst its banks and inundate nearby structures.
The Thirparappu waterfalls are located in Kanniyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. They are a popular tourist destination.
