Illegal trading has emerged as one of the most formidable challenges for several months in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on July 11. The incident took place at the Panchalingala state border check post in Kurnool.

Visuals feature the cops interrogating the accused men after confiscating a consignment of gold from their possession. They further assemble all the items like bangles, earrings, pendants, necklaces, rings, and waist belts on the counter to keep a check on them while investigating the matter.

During the routine check of vehicles at the Panchalingala Check Post, the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) sleuths scanned an SUV and recovered the gold consignment being transported illegally from Hyderabad to Bangalore during the early hours of the day. The officials further seized 7 kg (15.4 lbs) of gold ornaments worth Rs. 3 crore (4,02,398) from the possession of the two goons.

Two culprits, identified as Ajay Gadiya and D. Prakash, were moving the consignment from Krishna Jewellery Pearls and Gems in Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad to Sovan Jewellers in Nagarathpet in Bangalore. On further inquiry, they confiscated Rs. 10 lakh (USD 13,416) cash from them, along with a car and pieces of jewellery. The case was later handed over to the Kurnool Urban Police Station for further investigation, who will then inform the Customs, Income Tax, and Commercial Taxes for further action.
