Huge festival floats rolled through the city of Puri, eastern India, during the Rath Yatra celebrations.

Hundreds of devotees are seen parading with the floats carrying people dressed as Hindu deities.

Rath Yatra is known as the festival of chariots celebrating Shri Jagannath.

The religious festival has been organized with great vigor and enthusiasm in eastern India's Odisha on July 12. The event took place in Puri.

Visuals feature the annual festival of Rath Yatra celebrations commencing with splendid joy and passion in broad daylight while the people partake in chariot pulling activity. Besides, the enormous chariots are adorned with bright colors with the radiant-looking idols of Hindu deities placed inside them. Meanwhile, the cops are deployed for added security while the lords are taken for a ride to mark the significance of the day.

Keeping in mind the Covid-19 safety protocols, the servitors who tested negative for the virus were allowed to participate in this celebration of the religious procession while cops were stationed around the temple for security reasons. The trinity or the sibling lords, including Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra, are taken on chariots, distinguished by their size, shade, and wheel numbers.

The wagon of Lord Jagannath feature 16 wheels and has red and yellow covers, while Lord Balabhadra's include red and green covers with 14 wheels. Meanwhile, Subhadra's chariot has red and black sheets with 12 wheels.
