Huge clean up operation takes place in Leicester Square after England fans left the area trashed
A huge clean up operation has taken place in central London after England fans left the area trashed.
Thousands of football supporters descended on Leicester Square yesterday (July 11) ahead of the Euro 2020 final.
Video footage showed intoxicated revellers before the match against Italy with litter and various team merchandise thrown onto the floor.
The crowd left the streets piled high with garbage.
But further footage recorded by Twitter user @motheradamplay showed the morning after the overnight clean-up operation.
According to the Twitter user, while Leicester Square itself had been cleaned up overnight, the surrounding streets were still full of rubbish and broken glass.
