Chinese taxi driver assaulted by passenger after telling him to 'stop arguing'
A taxi driver was slapped by a male passenger after telling him to stop arguing with a female in southern China.
The dashcam video, filmed in the city of Zhuzhou in Hunan Province on July 11, shows a male passenger sitting in the back seat slapping the driver in his face after the driver said “do not argue” to him.
According to reports, the male passenger started to argue with a female passenger after they got into the taxi. The man opened the door twice and said he would jump out of the car before fighting with the female passenger.
The taxi driver named Zuo tried to dissuade them from arguing but was slapped by the male passenger.
Zuo suffered head and face soft tissue injury and brain concussion. He is having treatment in hospital.
Police are investigating the case. The video was provided by local media with permission.
