Despite the prohibition against the sale of chewable tobacco to save society against severe health issues, its illicit business kept booming in southern India's Telangana on July 12. The incident took place in the Nalgonda district.

Visuals feature the officials recovering several sacks filled with tobacco-related items from the miscreants. The cops further bring them down to the police station to investigate the matter while a senior officer discloses the details of the case to the public in a press conference.

Acting on a tip-off, officials raided several shops and retrieved 65 bags of various tobacco products worth Rs. 10 lakh (USD 13,414) from the Nalgonda rural areas. They further arrested the accused men, identified as Bauer Khan and Vijay. After further interrogation, they learned that these miscreants moved these items from Bidar in Karnataka and began to supply them in various districts of Telangana.

Besides, a trolley auto, a motorcycle, a Maruti Dzire car, 11 cell phones, and 13 other items used in the smuggling were seized from the goons while the other suspects were yet to be apprehended. Moreover, the joint task force of Narketpalle police and Nalgonda officials cracked this case with the help of other staff members.
