South African highs treet left in ruins by looters following Zuma's arrest
A high street and several shops in Pietermaritzburg were left ruined by looters as unrest hit South Africa after Jacob Zuma's arrest.
Footage from July 13 shows debris and discarded items strewn across Chruch Street.
The filmer, Siyabonga Majola, said: "The video is for people to see the aftermath of looting that took place on July 12. It clearly shows the extent of damage done to the main CBD. What's alarming is how people were still stealing stuff after completely wrecking the area."
The ongoing unrest in the country was triggered by former president, Jacob Zuma's arrest last week.
