A herd of elephants strayed into the village to find food for themselves in Sri Lanka's North Western Province on July 10. The incident took place in Galgamuwa, located in the Kurunegala District.

Visuals feature the jumbos, including calves, wandering in the greenery in search of a meal to put an end to their hunger. The elephants munch on the leaves and playfully engage with one another while the onlookers in the vicinity behold the spectacle.

As locals were clearing the forest for farming purposes, the elephants began to approach the human world in search of food, despite the electrical fences put up to restrict their entry. Besides, the villagers often use firecrackers to scare them away to protect their land from their sudden invasion.
