Receiving the Covid-19 shot before tying the knot might become a new trend in central India's Madhya Pradesh, after one groom did just that on July 15.

The incident took place in Tinsara village in Narsinghpur.

Footage showed the groom in his traditional attire, along with the wedding attendees, arriving at a makeshift vaccination centre in an Indian village.

The medic in attendance opens the Covid-19 vaccine vial and jabs the groom while his guests watch.

Madhya Pradesh is easing its Covid-19 restrictions, while ramping up efforts to vaccinate the population.

After receiving information about this vaccine drive, the groom, Sonu Rajak, along with the wedding guests, went to get their doses just before the wedding rituals.
