Terrifying moment elderly man is rescued from under a train in western India

An elderly man's life was saved in India when the drivers of a train hit the brakes when they saw him crossing the tracks ahead.

Main driver Shri S.K. Pradhan and his assistant Shri Ravi Shankar G, on the Mumbai-Varanasi train, applied the emergency brakes immediately after starting the train from Kalyan station.

The senior citizen was crossing the tracks in front of the train -- a banned but common practice in India -- when the driver saw him and stopped.

The video shows railway staff pulling the man from under the train.

Shri, Santosh Kumar, Chief Permanent Way Inspector (CPWI) at Kalyan was also on the scene. to caution them & helped the senior citizen

The elderly man was then given first aid and warned about the dangers of trespassing.
