Jewellery or Veggie: Edible rainbow corn now grows in India too.

U.S is the native of edible rainbow corn. An advocate and farmer Aasir Mohan hails from a hilly area in Kodaikannal South India. He does farming with just 5 cents of land near his home. He usually grows garlic, cabbage etc in his little farm. He got bored of these veggies and hence he just wanna try a different variety of corn called Rainbow corns. Corn usually grows in plains but he just wanna give it a try. He bought rainbow corn seeds online. He grew them without using any chemical fertilizers instead he used natural manure like neem seeds, cow dung.

“The plants gave a good and an attractive yield. As Kodaikanal is a tourist spot, tourists love to buy hot boiled corns. When they see these attractive corns they love to buy it and following me may can go with the rainbow corn plantations as its giving a good yield” says the famer.
