Sitting on the Ring of Fire, Indonesia's Mount Sinabung volcano erupts, causing a rumbling earthquake in Kuta Rayat village, Karo district, on Monday (July 19).

Sinabung Volcano Observation Post noted that the height of the volcanic eruption was ± 1.000 and 300 meters above the peak of the mountain.

The eruption is gray with thick intensity leaning towards the east and southeast. This eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 47 mm and a duration of ± 10 minutes 5 seconds.

Up to an hour after the eruption, officers had not received any reports of ash rain.

Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra, Indonesia, erupted again today (19 July 2021).

In footage filmed in Kuta Rayat village, Karo district at 7:00 p.m., residents seen coming out of their homes after hearing a rumbling sound accompanied by an earthquake originating from Mount Sinabung.

Sinabung Volcano Observation Post noted that the height of the volcanic eruption was ± 1.000 and 300 meters above the peak of the mountain.

"Mount Sinabung erupted twice, the first at 18:50 WIB with an eruption height of 1,000 meters. Then at 19:01 WIB with a column of ash 300 meters high," said Head of the Mount Sinabung Monitoring Post, Geology and PVMBG Agency, Armen Putra to the media.
