Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been a sharp spike in smuggling cases in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on July 18. The incident took place in Sileru in Gudem Kotha Veedhi in the Visakhapatnam district.

Visuals feature the officials recovering a bulky consignment of marijuana from the smugglers in broad daylight. Following this, they stack all the sacks on the roadside and keep a check on the illicit items while interrogating the goons.

During an inspection at the Sileru Bus Station, the cops recovered 161 kg (355 lbs) of cannabis worth Rs. 50 lakh (USD 66,790) from five smugglers. The officials seized Rs. 25,400 (USD 339), along with four phones, and arrested the miscreants for their involvement in this heinous crime.
