Nutrias become a problem for the Czech capital

Just a few years ago you could enjoy watching swans from the Prague embankments. Now they are increasingly being replaced by nutria. Half-meter rodents weighing an average of about 5-6 kg are firmly established in the center of Prague: on Streletsky Island, on Smikhovskaya and other embankments of the Vltava. Animals that escaped from farms did not meet a natural enemy in nature and began to multiply uncontrollably. And since people like to feed them, there is no reason for nutria to leave the city center.
