Snarling Sumatran tiger rescued from Indonesian plantation where it terrified workers

Indonesian officials on Monday (July 19) caught a wild Sumatran tiger that had been terrifying workers on an oil palm plantation in West Sumatra.

According to the West Sumatra Natural Resources Conservation Agency, they caught the one-year-old tigress in a trap box after five days of unsuccessful attempts.

According to locals, the big cat made several recent appearances at the plantation and nearby settlements. She was even filmed chasing a worker's car.

Officials said they would take the tiger to Bukittinggi zoo to be assessed by experts prior to being released.
