This is the moment strong winds in Port Victoria, Seychelles, caused the ropes holding a ship to snap.

Footage captured by Iulian P shows a large vessel slowly drifting away in the strong winds.

Two of the mooring lines holding the ship in place succumbed to the weight of the ship and snapped.

Incredible footage recorded by Iulian P. in Port Victoria, Seychelles. The ship shown was berthed in front of his own ship. As the wind speed increased it became obvious that the lines were being autotensioned which led to the lines being slacked automatically when the tension was exceeded. The next mistake they made was from the navigation bridge: the bowthruster was being run against the pier which led to the disaster and after the lines broke they grounded, together with the tug which came to help.
