Footage of a controversial campaign by black cab drivers ahead of a planned protest action in London, UK.

The new campaign, using a copy of a newspaper story 'Huhne's Girl: I Fought Off Sex Beast In Minicab' alongside the slogan "Why Take The Risk? Use a real Taxi and be safe" was on display in Mayfair on Saturday.

The Licensed Taxi Driver's Association have been warring with minicab drivers and car startups for some time, holding a drivers' protest last year against Uber.

The bold campaign will prove controversial, one bystander told the filmer: "I like black cabs but to use that story in this way is offensive".

A separate taxi driver's organisation, the United Cabbies Group, is planning a protest against London's transport regulator TfL tomorrow over a perceived failure in regulating minicab apps.
