Chinese soldiers blast open dam to discharge floodwater
Soldiers blasted a dam open to discharge floodwater after the heaviest rainstorm on record hit in central China.
The video, filmed in the city of Luoyang in Henan Province on July 20, shows a new hole being exploded open on a dam to drain the floodwater.
According to reports, the dam was damaged seriously and had a 20-metre-long break in it. The soldiers tried to use a truck to block the break but failed so they exploded another hole on the dam to help separate the floodwater.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
