A calf was hauled out of a narrow borewell by locals in Tamil Nadu, southern India.

The baby cow had fallen down the pit when it was grazing in Ramanathapuram on July 21.

Villagers used ropes to haul the calf from out of the borewell. Once the animal was successfully rescued, the locals assessed its health and released it.

A calf that was grazing near a bore well fell inside the well in Ramanadhapuram district of Tamilnadu. Nearby public noticed that and they saw the struggling calf. They tried to pull the calf out all by themselves. So they swung into action. One brought rope and another climbed down the well to tie the rope on the calf. Then the calf was airlifted and checked for injuries. It luckily didn't have any fractures it walked peacefully later.
