Baby trapped amongst rubble of collapsed house is rescued in flood-stricken central China

Rescuers saved a 3-month-old baby girl from a collapsed two-storey house after the heaviest rainstorm on record hit central China.

The heroic video, filmed in the city of Xingyang in Henan Province on July 21, shows members of the Blue Sky Rescue team taking an infant out of the ruins.

The infant was rescued after being buried under the ruins for a day and was sent to hospital for treatment.

The baby is in a stable condition and the rescuers are still searching for her mother and another woman.

The heaviest rainstorm on record hit the province causing extreme flooding and a landslide. Thirty-three people were killed and eight are missing.
