Cape Town Vaccine manufacture gets green light to produce Pfizer / Bio-Ntech Covid 19 vaccine
Biovac, a Cape Town based vaccine producer has reached an agreement with Pfizer / Bio-Ntech to help manufacture the covid19 vaccines.
The aim is to reach 100 million doses for the African Union.
In a media statement released by the South African Government, President Cyril Ramaphosa in his capacity as African Union Champion for Covid 19 said the agreement will contribute significantly to health security and sustainability on the continent.
The African continent currently has the lowest access to vaccines globally.
