Heavy downpours and intensified weather conditions wreaked havoc on the lives of locals in central India's Madhya Pradesh on July 22. The incident took place in Sironj in Vidisha district.

Visuals feature the gushing stream of flash floods, triggered by incessant rains, entering the houses in broad daylight, ensuing panic among those beholding the disaster from the rooftop. After a while, an adjacent hut begins to disintegrate and crumble down to the ground while the raging muddy water swallows it whole.

Since Wednesday night, several localities got inundated after heavy rainfall lashed the place, triggering flash floods. The sudden cloudburst caught the locals off guard and caused extensive damage to nearly 10 properties as several houses got washed away with the raging stream of water while the Kaithan river was on the verge of overflowing.
