Floodwaters from the river endangered several lives in southern India's Telangana on July 23. The incident took place in the Nizamabad district.

Visuals feature several low-lying areas getting inundated after heavy rainfall lashes the state for several days. Following these instances, a spiritual shelter gets flooded, posing a threat to those residing in it. However, the rescuers arrive on boats and save the stranded people from the shore and bring them to safety while the others take a sigh of relief after the operation.

The Guru Ashram or shelter was left surrounded by floodwaters due to heavy outflows from the Sriram Sagar Project (SRSP) reservoir and was on the verge of submerging. Following this, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel rescued seven people who were stuck at the shelter in Nizamabad district while State Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy supervised the rescue operation for the stranded souls during the early hours of the day.
