Terrifying moment linemen get stuck on 50-foot electric wire above swollen river
Two lineworkers got stuck on an electric wire at 50 feet above the Vaitarna river in India.
The incident happened on July 23 at around 5.30 pm.
The two men, Madhukar Salvi and Pradip Bhuyal, were making repairs when incessant rains uprooted the electricity poles.
They hung down for an hour before the rescue team arrived and helped them with a thick rope.
The Western Indian state of Maharashtra has been hit by a monsoon and torrential rains. Many districts are now submerged in water. At least 112 people have died.
