At least 40,000 people flocked to Hillsborough Park in Sheffield yesterday (July 23) to join the Tramlines 2021 festival, following the relaxation of the lockdown rules in England.

The event is part of the Government’s Events Research Programme.

People are allowed to participate without any social distancing or mask-wearing. However, they are asked to provide evidence of a negative test, vaccination proof, or proof of natural immunity.

The festival will take place at full capacity from July 23 to July 25. More than 120,000 people are expected.
