A group of Somali protesters were seen among the crowds gathered at Parliament Square for a major Reclaim Pride protest on Saturday, 24 July 2021. Somali gentleman with a placard depicting raped Somali children and a wounded man, is focusing on the damage caused by the UK government financing the Federal Government of Somalia as it finishes up funding the Somali branch of Al-Qaeda. Protester mentions the UK Prime Minister and Kate Foster OBE - the UK Ambassador to Somalia as figures responsible for the harm caused by the UK taxes being misplaced in Somalia, raising the issue of allocation of the UK foreign aid. The UK's aid to Somalia amounted to £147m in 2019-20 financial year and has been reduced since during Coronavirus pandemic.
