Firefighters battled to save homes in California's Indian Falls over the weekend as Dixie Fire became the state's worst of 2021.

"Fire fighters battle to save community of Indian Falls as the wildland forest fire the Dixie Fire pushes through the community on Saturday evening," Newsflare filmer said. Many homes were saved but sadly many properties were damaged or lost to the blaze."

The blaze, the Dixie Fire, broke out on July 14 and then reached the community of Indian Falls on Saturday (July 24). It's the largest wildfire recorded in California this year.

Many homes have been damaged and many others have been totally destroyed by the fire.
