Scarily loud thunder heard over Hoxton in east London as UK Met Office issues amber weather warning
A resident of Hoxton in east London captured the sound of loud thunder as parts of the south of England were hit by lightning storms and torrential rain on Sunday afternoon (July 25).
"Heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely to cause surface water flooding," the UK Met Office said as it issued an amber warning.
"Flooding of homes and businesses is likely and could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater and isolated lightning strikes."
