Mud house collapses as floods hit hard in the South Indian state
Sirsi town that is located in Northern Karnataka was heavy flooded due to the torrential rains that lashed the entire state for the past couple of days. Mud house that is located in the Sirsi town collapses due to the heavy and the continuous rainfall. The visuals shows a mud house getting collapsed completely and the remains were washed away by the strong currents
Extremely heavy rain has hit several districts of Karnataka, with many already seeing flooding. Some of the flood hit areas include Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada, as well as south interior Karnataka, Chikmagaluru, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga.
North Karnataka districts have also been badly affected by heavy rainfall, with rivers in the area in spate. Water is being released from dams in these areas, including Almatti dam.
Many villages have turned into islands as the road transportation is cut off due to the floods.
