Residents crossed a submerged rice field using a raft to reach an evacuation centre during Typhoon In-fa in the Philippines.

Footage shows neighbours paddling together a bamboo raft carrying a motorcycle and food supplies in La Union province on July 24.

Adelisa Rigor said: "It was very sad and scary because it had been raining nonstop. Our properties have been damaged and we had no choice but to leave our homes."

Typhoon In-fa, locally named Fabian, slowly headed to the East China Sea but continued to intensify with the monsoon maintaining heavy downpours across Luzon island. Dozens of people have since been killed in China where the typhoon caused floods.
