This is the hilarious moment online gamers carried on playing – despite being neck-deep in floods from a TYPHOON.

The lads were crammed into the Internet cafe when heavy rain battered the town of Cainta in Rizal, the Philippines, last Thursday night (July 22).

Despite the risk of being electrocuted from the computer towers, the gaming addicts stayed glued to their screens as they slogged it out on multiplayer battle games.

Even with muddy rainwater up to their necks, footage shows how the determined youngsters refused to move from their chairs.

Concerned owner Sio Samson recorded the bizarre scene as he tried to clear the lads out of his shop amid fears they could all be washed away by the deluge or killed by electric shock.

He said: ‘We didn’t know the flood water would rise that day so when I saw them, I immediately took action and told them that I have to transfer the equipment to a higher place. After that video, they also stopped and left, none of us was hurt.’

Fortunately all of the electricity cables in the shop were above the water level and plugged into power sockets that were all above head height – a common feature in properties in areas that are prone to floods.

Typhoon In-fa, locally named Fabian, caused devastation across parts of the Philippines where homes were flooded, thousands of people were evacuated and agricultural land and crops were destroyed.

The storm slowly headed to the East China Sea but continued to intensify with the monsoon maintaining heavy downpours across Luzon island.

Dozens of people were later killed when the typhoon struck China where it caused severe floods.
