Hong Kong has now enjoyed over one month without any local case of Covid-19. As part of the relaxation of social distancing measures, the Hong Kong Government has allowed cruise ship companies to restart sailing cruise ships out of Hong Kong, with "cruises to nowhere", starting July 30th, 2021.

However, conditions for boarding these ships will be that all crew and passengers must be vaccinated and under COVID tests before boarding. Their maximum capacity will also be restricted to 50%.

This drone video shows one of these ships, the "Genting Dream" moored at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, where it is being prepared for the first cruise on this Friday.
