Plastic garbage covered Manila Bay after a heavy downpour brought by typhoon In-fa in the Philippines.

Footage shows wood, plastic bags, bottles, and other debris littering the harbour in the country's capital city Manila on July 26.

Officials said around 40 cubic metres of trash swept onto the shore so a cleanup drive was initiated when the weather condition improved.

Passerby Rowel Batulina said: 'The trash was endless. Right after a storm, there would be garbage lying everywhere in this area.'

Typhoon In-fa, locally named Fabian, slowly headed to the East China Sea but continued to intensify with the monsoon maintaining heavy downpours across Luzon island. Dozens of people have since been killed in China where the typhoon caused floods.
