This is the moment a kind-hearted motorcycle rider helped a duck family cross a road.

The man was delivering food to a customer when he saw the confused birds trying to reach the other end of a road during nighttime in Nakhon Nayok province, Thailand on July 23.

While slowly riding his two-wheeler, he went behind the animals and ushered them to safety until they reached the side of the road.

The birds were then turned over by residents to a local farm as they seemed to have escaped the coop and wandered onto the road.

Onlooker Anon Promtheerawut said: ‘I was following the ducks and about to take them when the rider suddenly appeared and guided the animals.

'The birds looked like they did not know what to do or where to go so they quickly followed when they were being ushered until they were safe on the roadside.'

After saving the animals, the rider went to deliver the food after making sure that the animals were safe before Anon thanked him for helping out the birds.

Anon added: ‘The birds may have escaped from a farm so we took them there. If we let the ducks wander on the road they would not survive because they were farm animals.’
