A driver was airlifted away from a dangerous scene in Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania on July 28 after their pickup truck plowed into a garage in a residential area.

The condition of the driver is unknown.

08:31 hrs. a red pickup truck left the roadway for unknown reasons traveling across several properties coming to rest in the basement of a garage on Route 61 Atlas.
This brought First Responders from 2 counties to the scene along with life flight aero medical landing on the highway.
The driver was treated by Aero med prior to being extricated from the vehicle at approximately 10:04 after 1 ½ hours on the ground.
The vehicle was removed from the structure and the building has been declared unsafe due to the extent of the damage.
