This is the shocking moment a worker fell into a manhole while disinfecting a village for Covid-19 in Indonesia.
A worker was seen spraying a solution outside a house when he stepped on the wooden manhole cover in Bekasi Timur Regency.
The cover then collapsed from his weight before the man plunged to the bottom of the canal. He was not seriously hurt and was able to climb out of the hole afterward.
House owner Paku Alam said: ‘It happened very fast. The manhole cover was quite old so it was damaged easily. He was not hurt but had a few scratches.’
