A passenger train from Karnataka's Mangaluru to Mumbai was hit by a landslide in Goa.
Local reports says this Special train, was diverted via Madgaon-Londa-Miraj due to an overflowing Vashishti river.

The train was derailed on the Dudhsagar-Sonaulim section in Goa with the engine and the first general running off the tracks due to the landslides in the ghat area. No passengers were injured.


Passengers of the affected coach were shifted to other coaches and the train was being sent back.

Landslides were reported at two locations in the ghat section.

All 345 passengers on board were safe and evacuated without any injuries
