4 police officers rescued from inundated police station in central India
Incessant rains and intensified weather conditions wreaked havoc in central India's Madhya Pradesh on July 27. The incident took place in Sanai in the Guna district.
Visuals feature heavy rainfall lashing in the district, following which the day-to-day life of locals gets disrupted as the water level in the river rises rapidly. Sadly, these heavy downpours inundate the police station premises and cause extensive damage while the others reach the spot to ascertain the situation. In the meantime, locals clear out the area and struggle to get their work done amid the intense weather.
Due to heavy rainfall in the district, the Sanai police station got inundated as the drains began to overflow, leading to waterlogging. However, the Kumbhraj police reached the spot and rescued the four policemen stranded inside amid the darkness. The rescue operation began late at night due to which the officers had to use the headlight of the vehicles to commence with their mission. Luckily, the officers were saved while several important documents got drenched.
Moreover, the incessant rains triggered flash floods, endangering places like Bamori, Madhusudangarh, Kumbhraj, and Chachoda. The continuous rain in the Guna district for the last 48 hours has raised the water level, while a red alert has been issued in 29 villages due to the current situation.
