Dozens of tourists managed to quickly escape as rainfall saw a waterfall in eastern India cascade with increased force.

Footage from July 26 shows the group of around 35 playing and taking pictures underneath a waterfall in Kathiwara, Madhya Pradesh.

As rain kept falling, the waterfall started flowing at a dangerously rapid pace seeing the group evacuate the river.

Raunak, who was there, said that there is a mountain behind the waterfall and perhaps a rock may have been dislodged causing the flash flood.

Luckily, no one was injured.

Around 35-40 tourists and locals had a miraculous escape at a waterfall on Monday (26th July) at Kathiwara village in Madhya Pradesh’s Alirajpur district .

Around 2 PM during afternoon when people there at waterfall was enjoying suddenly a big wave of water came from mountains , tourists started screaming and ran towards safety to save their life from a water wave .

Raunak was also there with his friends , he narrates the incident and tells that people were enjoying the waterfall , taking selfies. Suddenly there was a large increase in waterfall and everyone started running .

Raunka says there is a mountain behind this waterfall and water normally falls from there , but maybe due to some rock or any other reason water might have stuck and gathered at one place and formed a lake , and that water suddenly came down in a force .

Luckily no one got hurt in this incident. It's been raining here for the last three days here in Alirajpur .
