A medical shop owner and his assistant narrowly dodged a murderous attack by an angry man who rammed his car into the shop repeatedly. Police sources said the shopkeeper (Hargovind Agarwal) had resisted an extortion attempt by a local goon (Manoj Mahla), who had decided to teach him a lesson. Mahla was arrested following a complaint from Agarwal and put him in jail. The incident happened in Mukundgarh of Jhunjhunu district in the state of Rajasthan on June 28. On July 28, the shop again came under attack by a mob. Agarwal and another man in shop came under attack but escaped serious injuries. Police officer Ramswaroop Barala are tracing the culprits and investigating if both the incidents are related.
