This shocking CCTV footage captures the moment a wall collapses inside Bhind district prison in India's state of Madhya Pradesh, on 31 July at 5.10 am.

22 inmates were injured, one is in serious condition.

Manoj Kumar Singh, superintendent of the police, said: "One prisoner suffered serious injuries. He was brought to the city of Gwalior for advanced medical treatment. Two other inmates were taken to the district hospital".

The cause of the collapse is not clear. The building that hosted 255 prisoners was very old but authorities believe that incessant rains might have caused the incident.

Twenty-two prisoners were injured, one of them grievously, after a wall of a barrack in Bhind district jail of Madhya Pradesh collapsed early on Saturday (July 31).
The wall of barrack number 6 caved in around 5.10 am. "Twenty-two prisoners were injured in the incident. One of the inmates, who suffered serious injuries, was rushed to Gwalior for advanced medical treatment, while other injured prisoners were taken to the district hospital," said Bhind Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Singh.
There were 255 prisoners inside the prison at the time of the incident, he added. The police officer said that the jail building was quite old and the wall might have collapsed as a result of incessant rains over the last couple of days.
