As part of Agile Spirit 2021, the Vaziani military airfield hosted airborne exercises with the participation of the Georgian and American military. According to the Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, such a large-scale exercise in Georgia was held for the first time.

The exercises began with the transfer of heavy military equipment via a C-130 aircraft, after which personnel were dropped from the remaining two aircraft. Following the airborne assault, the Georgian and American paratroopers exchanged paratrooper badges as a sign of partnership and friendship.

According to the scenario, the paratroopers conducted an operation to seize a military airfield in order to take over there international allied forces and occupy the airfield.
