Canada: Thick Wildfire Smoke Blankets Large Swathes Of British Columbia
Smoke from wildfires burning across British Columbia has blanketed swathes of the province.
As of the morning of August 1, 245 wildfires are active in the province. The largest number are burning in the Kamloops region.
There are around 60 evacuation orders affecting more than 3,000 properties, and 36 communities have been under air quality advisories.
