Lufthansa starts a four weekly service between Bristol and Frankfurt (Inaugural Landing and Takeoff at Bristol)
On August 2nd 2021 Lufthansa started operations at Bristol Airport, launching a four weekly service between Frankfurt and Bristol (daily from September). In this video you'll see the inaugural arrival and departure of Lufthansa (operated by Lufthansa Regional) at Bristol, landing as DLH970 at 11:16am and taking off as DLH971 at 12:12am.
The route will be operated by Lufthansa Regional on behalf of Lufthansa using an Embraer E190 aircraft. Today D-AECI did the honours, an 11 year old Embraer ERJ-190LR. It's great to have a new airline at Bristol Airport, especially connecting the South West of England to a major european hub. This route was previously operated by BMI regional with a Lufthansa codeshare many years ago, but it's brilliant to have it reinstated with Lufthansa itself.
