A free diver was delighted after becoming one of the first to try a record-breaking deep dive attraction in Dubai.

Diver Abdulla Alsenani visited the famous Deep Dive Dubai – a 60metre-deep structure with a volume of six Olympics-sized pools – with his goggles and snorkel in Nad El Sheba I on July 28.

Footage shows the free diver slowly gliding up and down along the depths of the World Guinness Record holder attraction.

Aside from its size, divers can also explore ‘abandoned’ sunken city apartments fixed with professional lighting and sound systems as it also doubles as an underwater movie studio.

Abdulla said: ‘The place is huge and amazing. I’m also happy because I’m the first free diver to try it since they officially opened to the public.’

The structure has been equipped with 56 cameras around the pool, which is watched by staff in real-time to ensure the safety of the divers in the gigantic pool.

Deep Dive Dubai director Jarrod Jablonski said: ‘It’s not only deepest and largest, but the sunken city effect makes it next world order. There are so many things it’s really not fair to call it a pool.’
