Flood-like Situation After Heavy Rainfall In Baran District Of Rajasthan

Incessant rain for over 48 hours has thrown normal life out of gear in Baran district in Rajasthan on Tuesday, August 3, 2021.
Rain water entered in residential and commercial areas, villages, agriculture land and many areas.
Two teams of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are engaged in rescue operation in district.
Around 600-700 people have been evacuated from villages of worst-hit Shahabad and Kishanganj blocks to safer places.
Nine people, including three children, lost their lives in rain-related incidents on Tuesday.
District Collector Rajendra Vijay and Superintendent of Police Vineet Bansal visits in affected areas.
Incessant rainfall has created a flood-like situation in many areas of Kota, Baran, Bundi and Jhalawar district in the Hadauti region of Rajasthan, with road connectivity to over 100 villages has been cut off.
A red alert for Hadauti region was issued by the Central Water Commission (CWC) on Tuesday, putting out a warning for an 'extreme flood situation' in view of the water surge at the Parvati river in Khatoli.
